• Depending on the context, millefeuille or mille-feuille can be a couple of things. It translates as "one thousand leaves". Cookery: little rectangular slices made of layers of puff pastry and pastry cream, although they can also have savory fillings. Gardening: the French name for yarrow (achillea millefolium). Other English names are milfoil, which derived from the French word, and nosebleed, which is descriptive of one of its medical uses. :-)
