John Grisham. Tom Clancy's a little too tech-minded, tech-oriented for my brain. I like the way Grisham writes, what he writes about, and his characters. Plus, I grew up in Memphis and the Mississippi Delta, so a lot of his stuff hits home with me.

Clancy has becone to technical in the past few years. And I really got P.O.'ed when he left his wife for a younger woman but I guess thats not any of my business but I gave up on his books. He was a speaker here at the Naval Academy and he treated everyone like they were beneath him. Grisham has alwways kept me interested in everything he writes. Patterson is another great author.

Tough question. I love them both, but I have read more Grisham than Clancy and I think he has the edge for me.
