Allegedly the moon.

That one base in terminator 3 the one at the end... didn't it show a stage?
-
We haven't gone there in over 30 years. It seems a little fishy to me because I don't believe we had the sufficient technology to actually pull it off. The US had to land on the moon as a propaganda campaign to combat communism. Why haven't any other missions been sent to the moon? Because NASA doesn't know what to expect since they never did it before except in a studio. Staged is the operative word.

On the moon. If the moon landings were fake, the Russians (yes, they have scientists too!) would have found out very quickly and make it world wide knowledge. So faking the moon landing wold be like throwing a boomerang and having it come back and hit you on the head. I have offered my argument. Feel free to counter it or offer some evidence.

A secret soundstage on Mars. But seriously - there is Overwhelming evidence that we went to the moon - Hell, You can for yourself see the gear left behind with a powerful enough telescope. Why do we need to cheapen a great achievement of Science and some very brave explorers by accusing them of being only fakers and charlatans?
-
they went to the moon and built a bio-dome, then built a studio within for the filming
-
I think it was staged. I means during the cold war, the US and Soviet Union were at a space race. And the USSR beat up to going into space. And what more better than that than to land in the moon? Movie production could've done the video. That way we seem as the winner in the space race with USSR.
-
The moon landings were most definitely not faked - they left behind a reflective mirror on the moon with which we still use lasers to accurately measure, say, gravitational affects, the rate the moon is travelling away from us, the speed of light, etc.

Up there on the Moon.

In a movie studio, and was done cheaply.I was young when I saw the landing on TV at the time and could tell it was fake.At that time the Russians were way ahead in the space race and the US had to try to top them. What is with all the trolls and downrating this answer?????
-
Yes, aliens did it.
-
The moon. The race to the moon allowed science to make several important leaps including major improvements in the development of computors.

In my back garden , the squirrels had the right hump.

It was a hoax! The famous foot print of the first supposed step on the moons surface will tell you a lot of information. It will tell you that print was made in a one G Earth environment instead of the one sixth gravity of the moon! I watched a commercial and it had an image of one of the astronauts supposedly on the moons surface and he jumped straight up in the vacuum and while in mid air he turned about 180 degrees and then landed in a new position and that's not possible unless he was suspended by a wire in mid air for that brief period!

If you believe it so than I agree with whatever you think.
-
On the moon Don't you think the Russians would have stated downright that it was hoaxed were it hoaxed seeing has how you Yanks were at war with them at the time on and off? Seriously, how can anyone think it was staged?
-
Your question assumes that the Moon landing was staged. I can't agree with the assumption.

On the moon, specifically the Sea of Tranquility, or Mare Tranquillitatis... (From Wikipedia) - Mare Tranquillitatis (Latin for Sea of Tranquility) is a lunar mare that sits within the Tranquillitatis basin on the Moon. The mare material within the basin consists of basalt in the intermediate to young age group of the Upper Imbrian epoch. The surrounding mountains are thought to be of the Lower Imbrian epoch, but the actual basin is probably Pre-Nectarian. The basin has irregular margins and lacks a defined multiple-ringed structure. The irregular topography in and near this basin results from the intersection of the Tranquillitatis, Nectaris, Crisium, Fecunditatis, and Serenitatis basins with two throughgoing rings of the Procellarum basin. Palus Somni, on the northeastern rim of the mare, is filled with the basalt that spilled over from Tranquillitatis. In 1965, the Ranger 8 spacecraft crashed in Mare Tranquillitatis, after successfully transmitting 7,137 photographs of the Moon in the final 23 minutes of its mission. This mare also served as the landing site for the Apollo 11 lunar module, the first manned landing on the Moon. The landing area at 0.8° N, 23.5° E has been designated Statio Tranquillitatis, and three small craters to the north of the base have been named Aldrin, Collins, and Armstrong in honor of the Apollo 11 astronauts.
