How they can see you walk through a door and suddenly their whole face lights up like you are what they have been waiting for, how they aren't afraid to just climb into your lap, and how when they get mad five seconds later they forget about it and are best friends with whoever they were screaming at before.

Oh pretty much everything. I'm such a sucker for giggles, and it's even better when I'm the one making them laugh like that. I love watching them learn and grow...it's amazing when that lightbulb comes on! Nothing quite compares to the openness and innocence that they have, and the energy and light they bring to the table is truly beautiful. For now, I'm happy with OPK (Other People's Kids), but I just know that I'll be so ecstatic when my husband and I have our own...I can't wait :)

When there gone on vacation for a week!!!! My wife and I adopted two children five years ago and love them very much. I would guess that when they do something that reminds you of your youth when you were a child, and it just brings a "smile" to your face. You see all I wanted was another dog the wife wanted children so we compromised and got kids. So when they do misbehave (and they will!), my wife will turned towards me and say "What kind of dog were you thinking about"! Life is good! Laughter is the key! Hope I not only answered your question but yet gave you a giggle at the same time. Bruce

Nothing. I hate that they get in the way and that people are desperate to have them.
