  • For the same reason most people don't drive hybrid cars. It is a new technology, that means it is relatively expensive and potentially unreliable. There are a few companies offering hybrid busses on a limited basis, but the cost would be prohibitive for most rv owners. Hybrid technology offers obvious advantages in an RV as it provides the opportunity to integrate the drive engine, batteries, generator, and even solar pannels into one unit reducing duplicate equipment and increasing efficiency.
  • 6-1-2017 There is not enough metal in the world to make batteries for every car. So the price is high, much higher than the improved frugality of the system can justify.
