Animals are attracted to the taste of salt. That's why hunters put up salt licks to attract dear. Your sweat contains salt, and because your armpits have a high concentration of sweat glands, your dog is attracted to them!

It is usually the salt in the sweat that they are licking. Some dogs like the taste of body lotion but it is usually salt.

The salt, your scent and because oddly enough...you are evidently LETTING HIM DO IT!!!! lmao I would NOT continue to do so, if you are using ANY regular type of commercial B.O. juice...the chemicals in that stuff are NOT intended to be ingested! If you are using Tom's or plain old baking soda (the best B.O solver on the planet and cheap too) then by all means let him lick if it's become a special ritual for the two of you. <wink> My dog licks my feet.
