If you have siblings, how do you get along and do you ever wish you were an only child?

I have an older sister and a younger brother. my sister and i didnt see eye to eye as children but now she has a child and i spend alot of time with her family. my younger brother and i have always gotton along really well and NO i have never wished i was a only child. i live for my family and the joy they bring to my life.

I have three sisters, but they are so much more to me than that. They are my best friends. I have 100% trust and faith in each one of them and would do anything to make them happy. They are beautiful, intelligent, kind, loving people and I feel blessed every single day that I am lucky enough to have in my life. I can't even imagine being an only child, or growing up and living without them. I am really lucky.

In total I have 6 siblings. The ages range from 28 to 7 and I'm in the middle. Now that I'm a little older I find that I really enjoy spending time with my siblings and our bonds are getting stronger. But it is a lot of effort to make those bonds. My oldest sister, 28 (I'm 18) and I hardly know eachother and for the last 5 years neither of us cared enough to really try to change that. Since the death of my little sister, I have really been making that effort. I never once wished I was an only child through, I couldn't imagine now having people to fight with all the time, LOL

i have 8 brothers and 2 sisters 11 of us total and we hardly ever got along I think that is part of having siblings but a little word of wisdom. hold unto each of those moments and place them in your heart take lots of photos because one day you will be older and these moments will help you through some very bad times life has yet to dish out.

I have 2 brothers and a sister. We never got along when we lived in the same house (although my brothers wouldn't let anyone else mistreat me). Now that we're grown, we all get along very well.

well me and her are kind of the same age... she has friends and i don't, so she kind of goes off with them. i'm always alone, so we're never really around each other much. i guess that's how. and sometimes i wish i was never born. sometimes i wish she could change a few things. sometimes i wish i was in a different family. sometimes i wish i were dead. but i'd always knew my parents loved her more than i. so i guess i would be the one leaving.

you know what u can wish al the time to be an only child but when it happens u will hate it beleive me i lost my bro and i had always wished i was an only child. u may not get along but they are always there for u

I am one of seven and i love them all and i wouldnt want to be a only child as in times of trouble i have them to turn to,and its handy having four big brothers as i never got bullied at school.

I'm adopted. I was raised as an only when in fact I had siblings. I never missed having siblings though, because I had cousins and friends that filled in any void that may have occured, that I am not aware of.

I only have one sister. We sometimes wonder what it would have been like to have more siblings, but I wouldn't have wanted to be an only child. My mother probably would have made me a nun! Ahhh! :)

I have a twin brother who looks nothing like me. We argue all the time about everything. He does everything he can to be the exact opposite of me; i'm loud, he's shy; I love music, he hates all music (that's what he says anyways); he allows others to decide who he is, and I hate people like that.

I am an only child , but, grew up around my cousins spending a great deal of time with them, so it wasn't like I was alone. Besides that, I've always been pretty much of a loner and enjoy having "Time To Myself". Yes .. I'm fine with it.

But no, I'd still rather have him. If i'd been born an only child, I'd probably be even more socially awkward from having no one my age around me as a kid, as compared to just him.

I have an older brother and sometimes I have wished I was an only child because most of my life I've been expected to live up to all he's accomplished. Problem is, he and I have opposite personalities... He wasn't off so bad being told what to do all the time... Me, well, I don't take orders too well... ^_^ But sometimes, when he and I get along, its pretty cool to be able to say he's my brother...

Yes I have 3 sisters and a brother but being quite a bit younger spent my young life more as an only child. The fact I went away to school made it seem more like I was an only child. Since I have been adult some of the embaressing things my family have done I have wished I was an only child. I must add that my sister is my best friend.

I had two brothers I never really got along with my older brother. He was always frustrated with me. My younger brother and I got along while we were growing up, we don't see each other that much anymore. I sometimes wish I had a sister. But I think if I actually did it would not be as pleasant as I can imagine. Especially after seeing how girls interact, since I have 3 daughters that have difficulty getting along.

im an only child, however my cousins lived very close by and my mother was a child minder when i was young, so i was never alone. im still in touch with most of her charges today. i would have liked to have had siblings though.

I am an only child of only children...so no cousins either. All my early life through to my late teens I wished for siblings. Since then, I've been more mellow about it but always envied friends who had good relationships with their siblings...and was frustrated by those who "weren't speaking' with theirs! Latterly, as my parents aged and at the time of my mother's death in 2002, I wished for the support of sibs...and now, with my dad aged 91, I would give almost anything for the ability to share my thoughts, concerns, worries about him with a sibling whose opinions counted and whose input to decisions would strengthen mine.

not so much now but when I was growing up there were plenty of times I wish I was the only child. I am the oldest of three my sister is a year younger and brother is almost 3 years younger. I being the oldest always got into trouble for things my brother and sister did because I was the oldest and was supposed to be the one who knows beter.

There are 8 of us, 4 girls and 4 boys. And we all get along great, very close. I think I would be lonely if I were an only child.

i have a little brother and he is sooo annoying at times. always getting me in trouble and doing everything that makes me want to yell at him, but if i didn't have a brother i'd have no one to turn to and would not be able to pick on any els and i wouldn't have learned any responsibility.

Two brothers...one older...one younger. We got along for the most part, occasional fighting...but now that we're older...we are inseparable. I will knock the piss out of anyone who hurts them. No I don't wish I was an only child. I love my bro's :):)

I have one younger brother, and no. I've never wished I were an only child. I was an only for the first 6 3/4 years, and I never missed that a bit. I enjoyed having a younger brother, even though I had to babysit a lot.

I don't get along much as I am the middle child and also the only male. 2 sisters and no brothers so it's a little hard sometimes. No, I am glad I'm not an only child because I think siblings plays a big role in whether you would be spoiled or not.

growing up my sisters and i were at our worst violent and at our best able to sit through a 10 hour car ride and enjoy every minute of it. we were quite dynamic. no lie i wished i was an only child quite a few times around some rough spots in our family history, but it's been a while since i thought that and i couldn't imagine losing them. i'm 19, my sisters are each 2 years apart and though we argue still [though nothing like what we used to] we enjoy each other's company more than anything.

I always wished I'd been part of a big family, but it turned out that my mother was unable to have more children after she had my younger brother. So, I have one brother, who is 13 months younger than I am. We get along very well, and always have. I've never wished that I were an only child, and I'm glad that I wasn't.

I was the youngest of 6 kids who were much older than me so I had many times when I felt like an only child. My older sisters went away to college and got married a few years after graduation and my older brothers joined the USAF. I never was real close to any of them because of the differences in age but I did get along with them.

of course i have wished a couple times that i was and only child but it's not gonna happen so to get along with my older brother and my little sister i try not to make fights with them and i'm nice to them like....60% of the time--the other 40% is goofing around and tattling!!! it's also kinda fun to see a brother or sister get in trouble!

I have a younger brother, and mostly we co-exist peacefully. sometimes we fight, but i usually try to stay calm. i've never really wished to be an only sibling, but i've always wanted an older sister.

When my brothers and I were all under one roof, we were constantly fighting and picking at eachother. I think it became kind of a second nature or like a reflex to keep on pick-pick-picking. Now that we all have our own lives, though, I miss being together.

My brother is 15 months older than I am and we used to fight all the time, but now he is one of my best friends. We can talk to each other about everything and trust each other more than we trust most of our friends. I am so happy to have him and I wouldn't wish to be an only child.

How we get along depends on which way the wind is blowing! Most of the time we get along well and I love 'em too much to wish they weren't around!
