  • There are protocols. Your own nation's flag should always be at full-mast, unless there has been declared a national tragedy ( death of an important figure, a massacre, outbreak of war etc). If you are hosting delegates from another nation, their flags may, for the duration of their stay, fly at equal height to the national flag. State flags must also be flown at full-mast unless decreed a day of mourning. Any other flags (company flags etc) must be on shorter masts than national and state flags. They must never be flown at equal height to them.
