• As of the census of 2000, there were 456 people, 205 households, and 121 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 27.6/km sq (71.5/mi sq). There were 281 housing units at an average density of 17.0/km sq (44.0/mi sq). There were 205 households out of which 29.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 44.9% were Marriagemarried couples living together, 10.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 40.5% were non-families. 36.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.22 and the average family size was 2.91. In the CDP the population was spread out with 26.5% under the age of 18, 5.3% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 24.1% from 45 to 64, and 18.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 41 years. For every 100 females there were 96.6 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.8 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $23,833, and the median income for a family was $29,722. Males had a median income of $27,083 versus $13,594 for females. The per capita income for the CDP was $11,976. About 14.4% of families and 16.9% of the population were below the poverty line, including 19.2% of those under age 18 and 16.5% of those age 65 or over. Seligman is part of the SUSD (Seligman Unified School District) and their school mascot is called the Antelopes. Athletics whise their school has been succesful winning the 1-A basketball state champipionship in 2006 after consecutive second round exits in the tournament in the two previous years. They have also been to the state championship game in Baseball for three straight years losing every time. Seligman's fight song has been dated back to the 1960's when the school opened and goes like this: Black and White, Seligman High, Fightin On To Do Or Die, My Alma Mater Dear, We're Gonna Fight, Fight, Fight, Because We're the Black and White, And We're gonna Fight All Night!
