Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers

Dave Grohl of Nirvana. I swear, I've Never seen somebody use a single bass drum pedal that fast for that long, and still be able to finish the rest of the setlist. A video included shows the song Scentless Apprentice, where the lead singer (Kurt Cobain) goes apeshit while the Bassist (Krist Novoselic) and Dave keep playing for about 10 minutes nonstop. Not to mention that this is one of the first songs in the setlist and the concert's about 50 minutes long.
-
Gene Krupa!!!!!!!! Buddy Rich!!!!!!!!
-
Living Tommy Lee. Dead Keith Moon of The Who was awesome, until he drowned in a pool at a Holiday Inn in Bay City, MI.
-
An-Ni-Mal! (of Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem) . . .
-
Steve Gadd. My husband and I are friends with him and his wife, Carol. He's a nice guy, very down-to-earth, and mega-talented! We are happy for them that they will be moving soon, but bummed that we won't see them as often anymore. Here's his discography on his website. You've probably heard him, even though you may not recognize his name. http://www.drstevegadd.com/discography.htm
-
Hands down Carmine Appice...or maybe his brother Vinny Appice. Both AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!! look em up, you probably haven't heard of them unless your really into drumming. the first video is obviously not his best work but it shows the real personality of Carmine Appice the second video still isn't his best work but the best I could find on youtube
-
My son and husband are both drummers so I would have to say them! As for professional drummers I would say John Dolmayan (System of a Down), Vinnie Paul (Pantera, Damageplan, Hell Yeah) and John Fred Young (Black Stone Cherries).

With the caveat that I usually don't notice the drums at all, my very favorite drummer is Janet Weiss, formerly of Sleater-Kinney, currently in Quasi and Steven Malkmus and the Jicks. She's the best drummer I've ever seen hands down, especially live. Second is Dave Grohl. His drums for Nirvana are unbeatable, and his turn on the skins for Queens of the Stone Age rocked my socks off. The man is skilled. He also laid down drum tracks with Probot, Cat Power, Nine Inch Nails, and Juliette Lewis's band. When does he sleep?
-
Neil Peart
-
Don Henley. He may not be the best drummer but he's my favorite. Sigh...how much we change over time.

Rick Allen of Def Leppard.....just for the very courage he has to remain in the business after his accident.

Roger Taylor is pretty good, but is he as good as Sandy Nelson?
