2000 Explorer left door lock doesn't work when the weather is warm, also brake lights keep going out except for the one on the window any ideas would be appreciated

It sounds like a bad sensor or computer (hopefully the former, pricewise). I am having similar problems with my 2004 Explorer (driver's door sometimes won't lock, backup sensors malfunctioning). I am scheduled to take it in for service in 3 days, so will let you know what they find.

Its a short. You need to find out where by using a multi-meter
