  • I think it is his time to retire and i guess he can do what he wants.
  • There are lots of opinions on this expressed in the answers to http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/109159 - this dates from the new year when it was still under discussion whether he would return or not, and so the question was worth debating, which it no longer is. Nobody has the right to tell him what he should or shouldn't do, they can only judge what is in the team's interests, and he is the best QB on the Green Bay roster still...
  • I think he should play. I was so hoping he would continue. When he does finally retire, football will have lost one of it's best players, both because of his skill as a QB and as a team leader. It will be a sad day for me and for pro sports.
  • I think that he should keep playing. Funny how we question other peoples judgment sometimes, isn't it?
  • I think he should come back and play in the 2008 season, if he wants to and if he can stay healthy. He appears to be having fun and the Packers need his leadership.
  • play for another team
  • He really screwed them up. GB already signed their backup quarterback and PROMISED him the starting spot. His retirement would have freed up 13 million dollars to find new yonger players. And face it, he's only won the big one one time, and that was when he was in his mid 20s. Now he's what...38? 39 when he's done? If he goes to another team, green bay fans will turn on him fast. Its a no win situation.
  • Quite simply, Brett is being very selfish and a lousy teammate. Green Bay drafted Rogers 3 years ago to be the QB of the future. It is the right time to go with him. Brett needs to put the team ahead of himself. Great question.
  • Retire already. I'm tired of these players retiring and then changing their minds. He's had his time in the spotlight.
  • Definitely keep playing. He can still bring it. He should never have retired. Can't blame him for wearing his emotions on his sleave. He always has.
  • Until he shows me he's lost the ability to compete, I think he should be able to play.
  • Being a major Packers fan, I would rather see him retire than play for someone else, which is what he is considering doing. Like when Montana went to play for the Chiefs. It just wasn't the same.
  • Its time to retire, I dont want Favre to go through what Marino did
  • Time to retire..bye bye!
  • This is not a question of should or shouldn't; it's a business matter...as in any other business, if he has the ability and some team is willing to pay him for his services, he will play...if not, he won't...
  • I hope he retires. Plus, why would they place a guy they are paying some 12.5 million (not sure on the number) as 2nd string QB so the old guy can play.
  • As long Favre is capable of playing...why not. His experience would help an up and coming quarterbacks
  • he has the right to do whatever he wants, he just needs to make his mind up RIGHT NOW
  • Brett still has alot to offer for any team who wants him. I think who ever picks him up will only boost there chances for a winning year and if he doesnt start the young players will learn alot under his guidence
  • All I have to say is as a resident of Green Bay, this topic is getting very old. This city is so split in the opinions. Some people hate him now. I think thay were never true favre fans
  • Yes he has retired as of 2008, news flash, read all about it.
  • I HATE Brett Favre!!!!!
