It certainly is :D

Sure is. Very few exercises are as efficient at burning calories or as accessible or cheap. You only need 1 pair of good runners and a footpath (freely available all around the world...). It does very little to exercise your upper body of course.
-
yes its great for your heart and blood flow

very
-
Yes it is.

It is according to many, but we have to concider the age factor and the knees of the runner. My knees feel better and are not negatively impacted when I walk, I walk pretty fast eventhough I am "a little older".....

one of the better all around exercises

definitely, it keeps the heart rate up

Of course, but not as gentle on the joints as biking or kayaking :-)

it is if it is done properly.. yes there is a proper way to run, good running works out everything from your chest to your cardio to your glutes arms and neck but when people run lazyily then the excercie only made you lose water weight. which can be regained easily by drinking more water. this is why you need to run and lift weights and do some sort of stretching. run to gain cardio and lose excess water, lift weights to gain muscle and make it harder to gain weight once its gone. and stretch to make your running and your lifting better as well. you need all three components go be fit and in shape. if not you'll be running for years and see very little results.

For someone young or under Thirty. It is a good exercise but running on concrete is a high impact activity. Not suitable for older people. People over thirty should do low impact sports.
