  • From what pictures depict, I'm thinking maybe some sort of red wine, maybe he made some Sangria.
  • I thought red. Maybe it was a nice Cabernet Sauvignon, or a Pinot Noir
  • Red wine, full of all the skins and pips and sludge at the bottom, strongly alcoholic, and similar to the wine found in Rome and Greece at the time.
  • I would presume it was a red of some sort, probably like the stuff my father in law makes in the shed out the back. It would not have been white, as Mediterraneans do not generally drink white...
  • I believe it was a sweet red of very high quality. Scripture hints at the qualit of the wine when the wine steward comes out to ask about it and to remark that they usually serve the best wine first. They served the good wine first so the people would be sober enough to appreciate the taste. But, in this case, the best wine was served last. The wine steward had no knowledge of how or where the wine came to be.
  • A fruity red concord Mogen David type wine.
  • According to John 2:10 NIV (after the master of the ceremony checked the water turned to wine "and said, 'Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now.'" In other words-it was choice wine for the times. Hope this helps your inquiry. In His grasp, <:))))<>< "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:21

  • Grape... :-) I don't know... Maybe a nice white wine with the fish... Or I KNOW :-) MAD DOG 20/20 :-)
  • I didn't think they had specific types of wine in those days except you got the same wine from the same grapes of the same vinyard. Other than that you just mashed up whatever grapes you had and fermented the juice. I am, of course guessing.
  • Since the transformation of water into wine was based on a miracle at the Marriage in Cana, it was considered "spiritual wine" from the heavens. How is this possible? With faith! John 2:11 "This beginning of [miracles] did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory; and His disciples believed on Him."
  • Thunderbird
  • The best!
