I think schools do some obnoxious things in the name of the idea that conformity prevents problems. They should be pleased that one of their students cares that much for cancer sufferers. What about a wig? Will they accept that for the time being?
-
No way, you shouldn't be suspened for being bald no matter the reason. Don't people have bigger issues to worry about? I guess it might be reasonable if it was stated in the school's guidlines but the article stated it was not.
-
No. I know a school where students were threatened with suspension when they expressed interest in shaving their heads for a cancer charity. I thought it was ridiculous... The school spouted some crap about "degrading the image of the school", but really, you'd think the school's image would be improved if people knew that kids there were giving to a cancer charity...

oh no, sados.................
-
No that's stupid
-
Absolutely not.
-
hmmm, NO. How stupid is that? Is there a 'zero tolerance policy' on bad hairdos now?? Hair nazis?? So glad I'm not in school anymore!
-
WTF? Absolutely not!
-
Shame on that school and its pathetic excuses for 'administrators'.
-
Schools have absolutely no business doing anything like that. The school is grossly exceeding its legitimate authority. +5
-
NO! That's just insensitive to both the students beliefs and the charity's cause. How ridiculous!
-
Hmmm... No *laughs*
-
what the hell. no!!
-
Absolutely not! Any person has the right to express themselves especially when its for a good cause. The school should not be allowed to suspend a student for such an act. I say the administers should shave their heads also!
-
No! That is ridiculous!
-
Unbelievable.....
-
Not only is it stupid, it's criminal. So now women can't choose to shave their heads for style? That school ought to be suspended.
-
That has to be one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard! Unbelievable.
-
No, the school has absolutely not right to do that. It's discrimination.
