  • yes i do
  • I never read any answers. The person asking the question wants to know what I think. If I were to read other answers first it might change my response...either I would not answer at all because someone had already given "my" answer or I would adjust/modify my answer so that it would appear to be "different" which would mean I wasn't really giving my answer at all. I don't see the point of reading what other people think before I tell you what I think, do you? :)
  • It depends if it is a conversational or an educational question. If it is just conversation, the asker will typically wish to know what several users think about an issue. So it is not necessary to read any other answers before answering, you can immediately start answering. I sometimes still read other answers, but mostly afterwards. If it is an educational question, the asker wants typically a given information. I could think first about what I could answer or how I could find an answer, but then, I would see which answers have already been given. If I think that I could add something to the answers that have already been given, I write an own answer. However, if a lot of answers have been given, I would not review all of them, but rather the best ones (not much more than one or two pages of answers. Educational questions don't get so many answers anyway. Also, in the case of a long answer, I could just read the beginning to get an idea about it and only read it to the end if I find it very interesting.
  • No. Just the first page that comes up. Answerbag is so slow that it's too much bother to read every answer if there's more than one page of answers.
  • I rarely read answers if I intend to post an answer myself. I'm not sure if this is because I don't want to be influenced by someone else's opinion or because I'm lazy.
