Is it legal to kill your own dog? Assuming the dog's terminally ill and a vet or humane society would kill it anyway...

And how are you going to kill it? Shoot it in the head? That will save you a few bucks. Maybe you can save some money on mom and dad too.

Its not a very nice thing to have to do..even if the animal is terminally ill and you know its the right thing..the best way is to take the animal to a vet and let them give a quick and pain free injection..this animal has been part of your family.. Whether this is illegal in your country or not its certainly not the right thing to do..

I find it interesting that you worded this question as "kill[ing]" your dog, rather than "euthanizing" or "putting it out of its misery."
