  • The usual solution is to garnish the wages of the payor. That means his employer deducts the support payments from his paycheck before he gets the rest. Contact your attorney.
  • There are a few issues that are not clear in this, normally wages are garnished when child support is ordered, most states will do this, however if there is some other child support order, or tax lien then the money will be split. on his part, if the amount of support asked for is more than he can afford, he can have it reduced, since he can't pay the amount and it is only piling up as arrears. if he has a new wife, or other children then the courts can't take the money that is used for his basic living expense or the care of other children
