When i was twelve, at youth club with my mates...
-
Perhaps unbelievable, but since I moved around alot as a kid (an Army brat), I remember my age vis-a-vis events better'n most. I was seven! ;-)
-
I was 18 and a freshman in college. Smoked/quit on and off for about 15 years after that, then quit for good. I haven't had a cigarette in decades.
-
15 - big mistake +5
-
I was 12. I don't remember the first one exactly. But I still love em!
-
I have never smoked.
-
I was 12 or 13 when I first had one, I wanted to fit in. I knew a lot of people that smoked including my parents. I never saw any signs of what people said tobacco could do. No one I new had cancer or even a cough really. I never thought I was hooked I always told myself (remember I was 12 or 13...lol) that the day I thought I could not put them down I would quit. How stupid was that...duh by then I couldn't and now I have COPD and have extreme difficulty breathing. It seemed that one day I was just fine and the next was terrible ad it has gotten worse with each day. I am working on quitting I hope you stop as soon as you can.

I think I was 14. Sigh.

About 10, but didn't inhale til at least 12! I still remember the sick feeling it gave me, I did it cuz my older friends did it. Twenty years later, I want to quit, and can't.
-
When I was 16. Never inhaled, just wanted to look cool. LOL I'm not a smoker. I had a parent that smoked and I hated it.

when i was 18, and it was my last.

can't remember the year, but I remember I paid only 90¢ for them!
-
Ohmigod I was 11 years old and got so sick and dizzy I swore I would never smoke again. I didn't either......until I was about 19 :(
-
When I turned 18 I bought a pack of Marlboro Reds, then switched to Kool Kings for two years. After that I smoked Camel Lights for a decade or so. Now I smoke Kentucky's Best and cheapie cigars. Sometimes I quit for days or weeks, even months, and one time I quit for two years. But, I keep going back to it. I don't see anything wrong with it, and I don't believe most of the hype about how bad it is for you. My grandparents smoked like freight trains most of their lives and never got ill from it. So, did my uncle. So, probably will I.

When I was 13; one of the biggest mistakes ever!
