Dracula.
-
Bram Stoker's Dracula.
-
The Lost Boys. When I first watched it I thought it would be just another corny vampire film, but it turned out to be a great film, and with wonderful soundtrack to boot
-
Once Bitten (1985). Jim Carrey in an unforgettable role.
-
While lost boys is good, i would go with Once Bitten . . . love the ice cream truck scene where Jim Carrey scares the kids with his newly received fangs.
-
Queen of the Damned... It captured the combination of a disturbing, scary entity, and the sexuality that has been cast onto the vampire idea over the centuries. Even the book Dracula had Dracula as a charming, sexy creature. He just happened to be into blood.
-
I did love the Lost Boys (saw it in a cinema when I was 19, with one of my mates and 5 student nurses - unforgettable!). Best one I've seen though would have to be Shadow of the Vampire. Very spooky and cool. I would LOVE to see Barbara Hambly's two vampire books - Those Who Hunt the Night and Travelling With the Dead - turned into movies. They're the best vampire books I've read.
-
Horror of Dracula (a classic from 1958) Lost Boys and Fright Night would be my runner ups.
-
interview with a vampire ,
-
No one did Dracula better than Bela Lugosi.
-
Love at First Bite.
-
Dracula Dead and loving it. its the best. on a more serious note, i'd say either blade or underworld. i like underworld because it is the first vampire film i have seen where they don't have to worry about vampire slayers or humans coming after him.
-
Nosferatu the Vampyre... for pure mood and atmosphere this silent classic still gives me the creeps.... runners up would be any Peter Cushing/Christopher Lee Hammer movie and The TV movie Salems Lot... which is still as spine tingling today...
-
Love at First Bite It is so stupid it makes you laugh! :>)
-
I loved Interview With a Vampire. It was excellent. Dracula: Dead and Loving It was of course hilarious but its a whole different type of vampire movie lol
-
It would have been "Interview with a Vampire" if they had used someone else to play Lestat. I liked "The Satanic Rites of Dracula" with Peter Cushing as Van Helsing and Christopher Lee as the vampire.
-
I would have to say Stephen King's "Salems' Lot". An oldie but a goodie.
-
Dracula with Jack Palance as Dracula or Blacula with William Christopher as the vampire
-
Van Helsing was a very captivating movie and was not a typical example of the vampire genre.
-
Apart from those mentioned, one may also check out Vampire Hunter D.
-
Blade.
-
Blade
-
The three girl vampires from Van Helsing were good, although the Dracula in that one wasn't scary. Plus there are werewolves in it too. Nosferatu is pretty creepy, and it also has a very realistic vampire in it. Dracula was good. The one with Winona Ryder; not the black and white one. The old Dracula was terrible. Yeah, I know it's a classic and all, but I hated it. Interview with the Vampire sucked. I don't know why everybody likes this one.
-
Dracula: Dead and Loving It. - It is actually a comedy, but it's really fun. Leslie Neilson is in it.
-
interview with the vampire
-
The one with Dracula.
-
The Lost Boys... for whatever reason, I love that movie. Nosferatu was just plain creepy. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0013442/ and Interview with a Vampire was good, but I liked the book much better.
-
Dracula - Bella Lugosi 1931
-
you have to go with the classics and the original Dracula with Bela Lugosi. He basically invented the character that all of these movies emmulate now in some way. Lugosi is like the Elvis of vampires.
-
Interview With The Vampire
-
"Love at First Bite" was the first vampire movie I can remember watching (over and over again) - the song "I Love The Nightlife" by Alicia Bridges from the scene where they're dancing in the disco is amazing. But, the best vampire movie ever has to be "The Lost Boys"
-
Dracula with Keanu Reeves and Garry Oldman, it was brilliant
-
I grew up loving The Lost Boys and I still think it is one of my favourite films - I loved the soundtrack too. Dusk Til Dawn was an amazing film - it went so crazy at the end, a real turn around. Brilliant.
-
I love Interview with a Vampire. Certain scenes still haunt me in it. And the fact that Tom Cruise has gotten way creepier just adds to the effect of the film.
-
When my sister and I saw Dracula with Frank Langella we couldn't stop laughing because his eyes were wiggling like googaly(sp) eyes. By the time the movie was over, everyone who had been seated around us had moved. We felt really bed, but we just couldn't stop laughing. Because of this, I would have to say that version is my favorite.
-
I would have to say its a tie between "The Lost Boys" and "Fright Night".
-
Blacula (1972)
-
Fright Night!
-
"Lost Boys"! For sure!! Edit: or "Nosferatu". A classic.
-
Interview with a vampire :)
-
Underworld
-
Either Nosferatu or the original Dracula. They have all been downhill from there. I am sure Kate Beckinsale is hot in Underworld.
-
Queen of the Damned!!! awesome soundtrack as well
-
I've gotta agree with Lunatone, Lost Boys just blew me away. Top notch movie!
-
At the time Lost Boys kicked my ass, I have never wanted to be a vampire more in my life. And then came Underworld and sexy ass Kate Beckinsale and Sophia Myles, I have never wanted to do a vampire more in my life
-
Love at First Bite Underworld
-
Interview With A Vampire
-
Count blacula (Madtv)
-
John Carpenter's Vampires...The sequels sucked.
-
I always dug Bram Stoker's Dracula
-
Interview with the Vampire
-
Queen of the Damned STUART TOWNSEND COVERED IN BLOOD AND ROSE PETALS *orgasms*
-
Near Dark and as mentioned before Lost Boys.
-
i would say tie betwwen lost boys and underworld until twilight comes out
-
Has to be "Interview With The Vampire". It seemed more realistic than any other I have seen. If there were vampires, I think that movie would show how their lives would be. It didn't romanticize the life like most other movies.

Bram Stoker's Dracula: Love Never Dies (1992, Francis Ford Coppola.) Maybe it's because I love the original novel so much, but this movie, in my opinion, really captured the essence of the book along with the aspect of fear which was so prevalent in the book, and in my opinion one of the driving factors that made it a classic, along with the diary entry scheme and the like which constructed the narrative. It worked really good in movie form although obviously the book scheme was pretty much dropped and some parts were missing, but all the important stuff was there. Well okay some of it is different, but still awesome. And as well I love the entire style the whole film has, with the costumes, scenery and accents. A lot of work went into all this, as well as underlining the vampire myth and maybe making Dracula famous once again, since today he's pretty much summarized as a joke. An extremely well done job at transferring a 100 year old book into film form. I love the soundtrack, and although the special effects today leave much to be desired, you can see the magic, and the love. :) Right when that movie came out, my dad went to see it in the theatres with his girlfriend and didn't want to bring me along. :( Well I was way too young and they wouldn't have let me in anyway, but he raved about it so much after. XD

i would vote for Interview with the vampire.. http://tv-shows-central.blogspot.com
-
Interview with Vampire and Lost Boys
-
BUFFY!!!!!!
-
Queen of the Damned
-
Near Dark-Bill Paxton steals the whole movie in one scene
-
Twlight!!! it was amazing and so were the books
-
Why not Dracula? Not the remake, the original 1930 release... it was an awesome piece with the low technology available at that time... worth a watch.. among newer, twilight got me
-
I like the ''Blade'' series. The FX and action levels are there yo...
-
