In some ways, though a drama, the animated film "The Plague Dogs" is quite scary for me. Blew me away -- and I even had read the book by Richard Adams first. +5

I don't think I've ever actually seen any horror oriented animation, unless it was from episodes, rather than movies. A lot of Japanese animation deals with horror themes, but anime is pretty ass if you ask me. Besides that, try watching some of the first Walt Disney movies...it can get pretty hardcore.

Plague Dogs, Felidae, and Watership Down jump to mind. Fantasia has some strong horror/creepiness to it. If you want to go into anime, the list is endless.
