Mine *always* does, and gets louder when teh CPU hits 147F and the CPU fan kicks up. I have two fans on my power supply, two in the panels of my case (one top, one side), one laying on top of my video card, and a 53CFM, 5400RPM brute bolted to the bottom of that same video card. Between the six of them, there is a lot of air moving!

Probably the fan's in your hard drive kicking in, mines does the same

The bearing on one of the fans is probably failing.

Probably the fan and the hard drive, and maybe the CD/DVD drive if you have something in it... +5
