  • The countries close by should try to influence the situation there, with support from other nations - particularly England (as Zimbabwe was once under their rule). This situation shows up how crap the Iraq war is, in the way that Bush said that the war was to rid that country of tyranny - well Zimbabwe is suffering badly but since there is not oil there then they are not of interest to the "lets turn everyone into a democracy club"
  • I think South Africa needs to step up and show some leadership here since they are the biggest local power. They need to impose sanctions against this country and get the other neighboring countries with good political systems to agree with them in order to bear some pressure on them. Why does the US or England have to be the watchdogs of the world. Perhaps even Australia could lend its voice in this affair and help them to change their government to a less corrupt and fairer system.
