  • Yes!!! i always hope someone will say it's ok go in front of me rarly happens!!!!
  • Frequently at my local tack shop as people buy boots jackets, bridles etc and I just want a tub of vitamins. I tolerate it as I have been the one buying something needing careful choosing or trying on while others waited. It is a small shop with very obliging staff and a lot of variety.
  • I tend to just walk out and go somewhere else when that happens, haven't the time nor patience to queue for 20 minutes or more!!!
  • Under communism, people had to queue in line for hours just for basic rationed foodstuffs, only to find the stock ran out while in line. Think of that when anyone claims government is the best provider for something.
  • My straight jacket. But the relatives said I really needed it;)
  • of course! it's kind of ironic that WE (the consumers) have to wait to PAY.
  • A few times, though usually of my own doing. I detest the self-checkout machines and refuse to use them, if its a large store I might roam about and see if I can find a less crowded (or just not so many people with lots of purchases) cashier to go to. I'm never in to great a hurry shopping anyways, I save the hurry for work.
  • yes but if you need it you need it :-) +5
  • If the health care reform bill passes, you'll have to wait months for a simple shot that you could walk in and out in just minutes today.
  • Yes! In fact I had to wait in a very long line yesterday just to purchase toilet paper! It drives me crazy!
  • If I needed it bad enough.. But usually leave it and walk out.. I have no patients. :(
  • Just one of many reasons why you'll never again hear me say "lets go to Disney world"
  • Unless it is an emergency I leave if the line is too long and go back later. Sometimes right when the bank first opens the lines are long..if you wait awhile for the crowd to disperse it's usually much better. The longest I waited in line once was half an hour and that was to pick up my prescriptions. It was a Monday and I got there right when the pharmacy opened..big mistake. We go later now and not on Mondays! :)
  • I've noticed that if I have that happen, it keeps happening for a time period that day or all day. I think it's in the stars where you just have to put up with things going haywire. I'll go to the bank and something will happen where I will be in a line forever and then go to the store and the same darned thing happens. So I just use it as a lesson in patience.
  • Yeah. But after getting out of the military, I find myself very impatient to put up with long lines anywhere, anytime.
  • Yea i have its pretty annoying too, but what are you going to do.
  • I don't have to wait in line, and no I wouldn't to make a small purchase unless it was something I absolutely had to have.
  • I was tempted to leave a dollar with the cashier and tell them to keep the change for the four small washers and screws that I was buying from the hardware store
