I will remember Patrick Swayze as a very vibrant, good looking talented actor and dancer. He was so muscular and athletic! He was born in Houston, Texas, so he is a fellow Texan. He will be remember best in "Dirty Dancing", which I never get tired of watching him dance. I didn't know he passed away until I saw this question. He had been ill for such a long time and fought his illness until the end.

Along side Chris Farley in the Chippendales skit..................Classic! RIP Patrick.

Dirty Dancing. I would like to forget Ghost, thank you. Then again, I rarely held any celebrity in any greater esteem than any other person walking the Earth. Among the rare exceptions to my philosophy are Isaac Asimov and George Carlin.

"WOLVERINES!"

Unfortunately, it will be as a deathly ill, shrunken shadow of himself courtesy of the tabloid photograph I just saw tonight while checking out at the grocery store. What ever happened to leaving people alone to die with what little dignity the process will allow?

For me, as Uncle Buddy, even though he was not really my Uncle. I have know him and his family since I was a little kid. My Dad was at his wedding to Lisa and my mom did West Side Story with him in 1976 at a theater on L.I.
-
I love that guy. I thought he was such a gentle man. And imagine staying married 34 years!!! Great actor also.
-
I loved him in DIRTY DANCING and ROADHOUSE .... He will be sadly missed ... prayers to his friends and family .. +5

I will remember the Love and relationship he and his wife had which moved me to tears more than once. Will also remember he and his wife's love for dance and how watching together was so special. Enjoyed his talents not only in dance but as an Actor as well. Will truly miss this special man, the contributions he gave to the Entertainment Industry, and each one of us as well who enjoyed is talents.

Thanking for posting this BigDaddy, as I didn't know about his passing until I read your question. That's too bad. I thought at one point he was getting better. I will always remember him in the 1989 movie "Roadhouse."

He play in the Outsiders as Ponyboy's older brother Derry.

His great looks and his dancing and his acting, he put all he had into his movies that is why they were so loved by us all. Dirty Dancing will no doubt be the movie he is most remembered for with Ghost right behind. We were very sad to hear of his loss with the battle but now he is in a place where there is peace and love and he beat us all there! RIP Patrick you will be missed!
-
Dirty Dancing and he was great in Point Break.

This is the first time I heard he had died. I really liked his movies. Dirty Dancing and Ghost are the ones that stand out for me. He was only 57.
-
For his movies: "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" Patrick Swayze had good action moves and danced well. He seemed honest, had a long marriage and was brave till the end.
-
I think he will be remembered for his charismatic personality and humble demeaner. But the film that stands out is "Dirty Dancing" I think he won alot of fans over with that one,he will be missed.-:)
