My aunt and uncle had a farm in central Michigan, and every fall they would have a family reunion. The dining room table groaned under the weight of the food they prepared. Chicken, turkey, and beef were all served along with an assortment of vegetable dishes and sinful desserts. Oh, how I long for those days.

My family usually doesn't eat either - but I like both turkey and ham for both holidays.

either both are good but here are two helpers if you do a ham use honey/mustard and glaze over and try to infuse into the ham(poking it in) response to turkey: key to this I learned last year, Brining it. Brining is putting a chicken into salty water with herbs (garlic ginger etc.) and letting it set for about a day or two.(remember keep it plenty cold) if you keep it outside because its cold where you live good but beware animals, if you keep it in house leave plenty of room for ice to be dumped each day to keep cold. this will help with keeping that bird soft and no need to drench it with gravy (i do like gravy though) but it will be suculent and not dry. +2
