  • I do not think so because monopolies are nothing but free enterprise writ large, A company buys up another company etc. The customer can decide for themselves where they buy or eat and the low prices in monopoly stores might be attractive to them. We always try to shop the smaller local stores, restaurants, etc. but sometimes we end up going to the larger stores.

It maintains its superiority by force of arms, it sets the charge for its services at any amount it chooses, and it protects certain businesses from open competition. Historians have noted that restrictions always pile up until the only way an honest man can support himself is by smuggling.
