brown eggs are the same as white eggs in the store. they both are factory produced. you have to know the chicken farmer to get real free range eggs. factories can add chems to the chicken's diet to produce brown eggs with large yellow yolks. so dont be fooled.

As there is no difference in flavour between white and brown it doesn’t matter which ones I buy. Did you know that some unscrupulous egg suppliers dip their eggs in cold tea to make the shells go brown?

Our new chickens lay brown eggs. Our old chickens, at least five years old, and probably much older used to lay eggs with shells the colour of Wedgwood green jasper.
