  • Who says that there is something "wrong" with it? +5
  • Nothing.
  • Anyone who doesn't have God in their life is missing out. :-)
  • other than eternal hellfire, nothing at all.
  • Nothing at all until you try to find fault in other peoples faith, because you're insecure with your own.
  • Nothing and we get to sleep in on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Well maybe not Friday, most of us have jobs.
  • No holidays. Other then that, nothing. +5
  • Nothing. I believe they have the right not to believe. :o)
  • I don't see anything wrong with it.
  • Absolutely nothing. I won't be there at your end when and if the judgement comes for you. Do as you please but leave me alone to enjoy my faith!!
  • You can ask god someday when you need him and he doesn't answer you.
  • christianity teaches forgiveness and self sacrifice which i exercise daily. i have absolutely nothing in my life besides what i have given to others. the majority of atheists have no idea what these things are and as a result, never use them. every atheist i've talked to has one goal in their lives. "to enjoy every minute of it". and other religions are about "giving everything you have to someone who needs it more". most atheists indulge in very sinful activaties and selfishness. alot of atheists are alright and some of my friends are. as long as you know the the basic morals and virtues taught by religions than its ok to be atheist. just live a good life of self sacrifice.
  • nothing ,,,if anything , it shows you are smart and not easilly fooled .
  • nothing. You raise freethinking children, you get to see that there are shades of gray instead of looking through the rose colored glasses of absolutes (thou shalt not kill, lie, steal, w/e), You are allowed to mourn the deaths of friends when they get into accidents, knowing it was just an accident and a magical being did not plan for them to die this way, or punish them or you for a bad life or not enough prayer. You get to embrace your natural human urges like sex and masturbation without feeling guilty about your own body. Atheist can be friends with everyone without having the thought in the back of their mind that this person's lifestyle may be evil. Atheists don't fear that a large part of the earth's population is going to hell for being true to themselves. Atheists do not live with the fear of hell. Atheism is a way for women to be free of an oppressive belief system that teaches them that they are second-class citizens.
  • Nothing, until you die.
  • An Atheists? An Atheist. Well there are lot of jealous fools out there who will go to extraordinary lengths in an effort to mischaracterise Atheists. Nothing, other than the fact that Atheists tend to have better incomes since they have to work for everything they have, as opposed to 'praying' for it. And said income isn't devoted to the Church. Which pisses off the Theists. Not to mention that we don't leave our kids in the hands of holy child molesters. You have to deal with a lot of jealousy from the Theists.
  • Just the linguistic detail that one person can only be one atheist. and the minor detail that you might possibly be wrong.
  • absolutely nothing at all ... I am having a ball!
  • Nothing. Everyone must make the choice what to believe or refuse to believe.
  • Not a darn thing. But some people get their noses out of joint when you start raining on their petty revenge fantasy...
  • Nothing. I'm not one of those hipocritical Christians so I say believe what you want. Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs and I will not judge you for them.
  • Nothing, except in the eyes of judgmental people.
  • For me ? Nothing. For the Atheist ? Everything.
  • Some people who are believers consider atheism to be the ultimate disrespect against God. Their assumption (or belief) is that if one does not believe, one cannot possibly live a moral or full life, that one must be lonely and unhappy. Atheists simply don't believe and there's nothing wrong with that.
  • Let me state a quote. A atheist asked a monk, O' you have missed every good thing in life, what would you do if you didn't found a God and paradise after death. The monk answered, thats true, you and I'll live our lives for some time and then die. But what if there is a God and everything. With hell etc. This life is meant to over but not the next one.
  • God knows :)
  • You are asked questions like this? Since Atheism is a natural state of being and religion is something you have to be led into then nothing is wrong with it. It's the right place to be!
  • nothing at all.
  • Sorry for the duplicate.
  • Absolutely none as long as you are 100% sure that you are right. Precisely why I am not an atheist. Unfortunately I have no ability to ability to empathise with being an atheist, I wish I was able to.
  • It's perfectly right for me.
  • Nothing is wrong with being an atheist. I find it interesting that someone would feel that atheism is the "ultimate disrespect against God" God gave people free will right? I am fairly sure if God is what believers purport God to be God can handle atheists without help from mere mortals. There are a couple issues that religious folks go on and on about like atheism, abortion, gay marriage that make me wonder...what ever happened to "let go and let God"? Every time I see religious folks losing their mind over the rest of us I feel sad for them. Their distress at others being different or not believing as they do merely indicates weak faith on their part to me.
  • Well, you would have to have a mental disorder to be 'atheists'. I think it is called multiple personality disorder. I see nothing wrong with being an atheist, I am one, and happy with it.
  • What is right about believing in god? If you ask an atheist, he/she will state their belief, and if you ask a person who belongs to a specific faith, they will state theirs. Its like asking what makes one church or faith think that theirs is the right one, and the others are all wrong. It is all a matter of choice, and there are enough different faiths to fool everyone. Maybe people should forget about looking for a deity to save them, and try to figure out how to save themselves!
  • I think you can only be it once, but other than that you gotta be who you are. q:)
  • Extreme credulity. But, it's a personal choice.
  • Nothing, why?
