  • Yes, but only because I am 59 now. Even if you are 25, you will still be "a kid" to those who are double your age. Don't worry about it. +5
  • Yes. Or maybe a young ladie perhaps. I will argue that for the next few/several years, you'll discover yourself and settle on your own ideas and values as you see fit.(among other things) you'll think and act little differently in a few years. Not 'till then will you really BE a grown-up. you'll know when. An adult and a grown-up are different things.
  • depends on the degree of the mental maturity you enjoy. you know something? i often listen to what a teenager says when it comes to cirtain issues bewildering me, and i do what he/she says. thos epeople are intelligent and need us to believe in them and trust them.
  • I'm 17 too! and yes, i think we are still kids. i love being a kid. enjoy it while it lasts.
  • Yes.You have to be an adult for a long time. You only get to be a kid for a very short time.No going back.Enjoy it...I`m Not saying immature.
  • I'm 17 and I consider myself a kid, I'll probably consider myself a kid when I'm 25.
  • Depends on your mannerism. I became best friends with someone aged 18. So if you are mature and the other person is a bit childish at times (like me), than you meet in the middle and end up at level...or as two kids, level again ;-)
  • I'm 17. I see you as a kid.
  • Some 17 year olds are still kids; some are age appropriate, and some are quite mature. Since I don't know you.......
  • I am 31 years old. I had my first child at 17. It is very VERY hard to get an adult or an elder period to see you as an equal. I had a very hard time trying to prove myself growing up till one day I thought you know who cares they are just jealous that they are old and wrinkled and I am young and firm!!!! :) If this answer didnt help I am sorry but I hope I at least made you laugh!!!
  • Yes - at 17 you are a kid. You're on the tail end of being a kid, but you still have a lot of growing up to do. I believe that you can never truly start to grow up until you accept you're still a kid - and that goes for anyone of any age. I thought I was all grown up at age 18, and got really annoyed at anyone who would tell me otherwise. It can feel very patronizing and I'm sorry if I'm making you feel this way - it isn't my intention. But seriously, you'll get to 20 and look back and think wow I can't believe I thought I was grown up back then, and then you'll do the same thing at 22 about being 20, and so on. I don't think you really become an adult until about 25, and even then you keep learning and changing for the rest of your life. So please don't stress about being an 'adult' now - just enjoy the stage you're at and try to make the best decisions. There really is nothing wrong with being a kid!
  • I see you as a teenager.
  • not really. i think you're old enough by now to know what makes you a kid & what makes you an adult. i would consider you a teenager. but some 17 year olds choose to behave like children. & those i perceive as kids.
  • No, not as a kid, but as the teen that you are, & as one growing towards adulthood. +5
  • i c u as a young adult
  • Parents tend to.
  • Im 38, your 17; to me your a child.
  • Yes - and what a delightful age to be. I loved being 17 - you are old enough to do some adult things, like get a part time job, and have some responsibilities, but still young enough to have fun and get away with it, because you are just a kid! if I could choose any age to be again, it would be 17
  • no your 38 and a kid
  • Definitely not. In Ancient Macedon, Alexander the Great was running his father's empire for him at 16 and 17. Seventeen is quite grown, I assure you.
  • Not necessarily a kid, but still growing and becoming an adult. You are not shaped as the person you are going to be for a long time yet. I am young too.
  • it's all in the behavior. i've known 12 year old adults and i've known 62 year children.
  • I am 21.. I think of this age group as a recent peer but more of a teenager.. and in no way a kid or child.
  • You're a teen. . A 50 year old might consider a 35 year old as a kid, but it doesn't mean much.
  • Probably, when i voice my opinion on AB and have a valid point to go with it, most peoples comeback is "your 18, what do you know". THEY CANT HANDLE THE TRUTHHHH!!! haha
  • I was already living on my own by 17, so there was nothing childish about my life, and was insulted when referred to as a "kid", i am in my thirties, EARLY thirties now, and looking back, at myself, i WAS just a kid..and if i didnt know better, i would probably feel sorry for missing out....
  • Yes I do. Why? Because I'm 71-3/4 years old and I'm still a "kid" to my 95-year-old friend, that's why. Everything is always relative. You are considered old to a 5 year old. That should give you some comfort. Happy Tuesday to you! :)
  • I do... some 17 year olds are in the armed forces, or living alone, or raising their siblings and acting in ways that are not typical of a 17 year old, very adult ways, they are still kids to me though. I am only 23 myself!
  • I'm 17 too! We're adolescence. It comes down to your maturity level in my opinion. I don't consider myself to be a kid but others may. It's everyone's own opinion. Don't think your opinion is less valid than anyone else's.
  • Maturity is the key here. Some people never mature. If you are 17 and act like a child, people will treat you accordingly. If you are 17 and act like an adult, people will treat you accordingly.
  • Yes! Not until you're about 19yrs. old do people start to even "remotely" take you seriously and begin to see you more as a "young" adult! And not until you're about 30yrs. old do people even REALLY care what you THINK! They know you've gotta feel the "pains" of life a little bit to know what you're really talking about! Tough to explain! But. . . .you'll see!
  • Untill you are 25, society will not treat you as an adult.
