  • Don't look at ME! : P
  • Because he was the obvious choice
  • is he so bad?
  • Why would you want Mccain as president? Sorry, but realize the question can be reversed like that. People will always have different opinions, and even if our opinions, and views seem crazy to you, realize that your views and opinions might seem crazy to us.
  • McCain was too old and so were his ideas. Plus we wanted to show how much we disliked Bush. Plus, foolish souls we are, we thought Obama could make things change for the better.
  • And what was our other option?? ya....
  • The most obvious reason is because he was the far far far far better choice than the alternative. . My reasoning has nothing to do with the practicality of change, as both sides used "Change" as a buzz-slogan to win their campaigns. I voted because I was making a statement globally - that the people of America are ready to have a black president - they are ready for a true change - and regardless of how real or rapid the changes are, voting for Barak Obama was seen worldwide as a, "Americans aren't total war-hungry money-grubbing self-centered egocentric douchebags." . After Obama was elected, literally overnight, peoples' reactions to my being American changed dramatically - they had hope and love for my country instead of seeing it as The Evil Empire. Whether justified or not (probably not), that was the precise reason I voted for that man - to make my life better. And it has worked.
  • Can I ask, What's wrong with him...I'm not a ceptic so No I'm not making fun...is it just because he's black that no one likes him.....You got blacks working in stores serving you, you have black Doctors, Teachers, Cops. may it he unusual name...I dont understand why he is so disliked. It's just a black thing......isn't it....That's OK..I understand... We have a Scotish PM and he has Totally Screwed the UK up....
  • Obama on TV appeared smarter, more sophisticated and better looking than McCain.
  • Trick question. They aren't even elections anymore. We'd have to have a real choice for them to be
  • 1. He's a better speaker than Mcain. 2. He's black. 3. He's intelligent. 4. If Sara Palin became president, we'd be in a shit load of trouble.
  • 1. Our country was in serious trouble! 2. Continuing to do the same things that put us in that trouble sure wasn't going to get us out of the situation! 3. He was the logical choice. 4. Being hated by the rest of the world is nothing to be proud of, or advantageous.
  • Why use the expression "you people" it makes others feel that you consider yourself superior to them, a real bad choice of words and a real turn off....I see you're a n00b here so that might be the reason!
  • You cant blame me, I didn't vote for him!
  • Because he is the Antichrist and we are devil worshipers. HAIL SATAN! Just kidding. We elected him because out of the two choices given us he was by far and away the superior candidate. That's why WE PEOPLE did it.
  • I did not have anything to do with Obama getting elected! I deleted the link that was here!!! It was NOT the link I posted when first answering this question! Someone changed it for some reason, I guess they wanted me to look like some kind of a person, that I am not!! You will be reported!!
  • Civil liberties and foreign policy.
  • McCain would have been more of the same, although handled more intelligently than Bush handled things. McCain was too old, and can blow up at people in a very nasty way. Sarah Palin would be a disaster as President. Obama was a break from the past with regard to Bush's foreign relations, actually showing respect to other countries, trying to cultivate allies, and not being liable to do stupid things like bombing Iran. Obama will do things for the environment and health care.
  • because he was black,,duh!!
  • Because he is Black. Americans want to shed out their racist coat.
  • Because they were paid to do so.
  • Cause you people messed it up the previous eight years.
  • I didn't. Don't blame me :)
  • Because they were stupid. Now they have what they deserve. Stupid is as stupid does.
  • Get the people drunk on Obama Kool-Aid, and they lose all sense of perspective, turn into lemmings, and follow the dammed over the edge. I did not vote for Bozo Obama, some of us had better sense than that.
  • He's taller and he has better hair than McCain....;-D... (Seriously, the taller better-haired candidate wins the Presidency most of the time) . . http://www.gladwell.com/blink/blink_excerpt2.html
  • well now lets see, Bush and his right winged puppets stood by and let the U.S. go down the shitter big time, what has happened in the U.S. is a direct result of them not having the balls to stand up and regulate big business and the banks during the last decade which would have stopped from what has happened from happening. Not fixing up the health system that allowed 500,000 plus U.S. citizens to die per year of treatable diseases , over 3 million U.S. families to go bankrupt because of sky high medical bills per year. Having almost every other country on earth beginning to hate the U.S. because of its jack booted foreign policies... now I could go on but you get the idea
  • I didn't vote for him!
  • There wasn't any other choice. Always vote for the lesser of two evils.
  • McCain or Obama. Big choice. I wonder how many more wars McCain would have us participate. I am disapointed that every black person I know has stated they voted for Obama. When I ask which issue persuaded them, they don't know or care. That's like me voting for Palin because she's a woman. At least Ferraro and Clinton had some platforms. +5
  • Because McSame couldn't even recognise that America was having a crisis. And Palin? C'mon!!!
  • I will prove to be one of the great moments in American history. That's not the reason I voted for him but an interesting fact. I voted for what I thought was the lesser of two evils. The republican party no longer supports my own beliefs. The all preach smaller government and controled spending when in reality they do the oposite. They tax the middle class so much that they would eventually join the lower class. They give huge tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans. They no longer respect our constitution. I know the democrats don't either but at least they are honest about it. Dubya hurt the republican party badly and they will never get out if they don't return to what the party originally stood for. Of course that is just my opinion.
  • I didn't. ;)
  • I didn't vote for him because I didn't think he would be good news for this country and I was right he's not good news for America.
  • I honestly think its because most Americans were to lazy to research the FACT that there were MORE THEN TWO CHOICES FOR PRESIDENT. I mean seriously many people answer this with a McCaine reference. There were over Five women in this race. There were over five African Americans in this race. Wake the hell up America. Voting Obama was voting for the same. Both Parties are moving us faster and faster to complete dominance by the Government.
  • Well, see there is this thing called an election that comes around every so often. Then you do this thing called voting. Only if you want to and are eligible. It is by no means mandatory. Then all the votes are counted and whoever gets the most votes is the elected one.
  • That is the question everyone is now asking; I think most people didnt want another Bush in office so they went back to a Clinton era; like it or not your going to have changes now that the democrates run things; with little opposition theres nobody to keep them honest.
  • since the roman empire, it has been said that "a democracy can only survive until the people realize they can vote themselves generous gifts from the treasury." Obama promised them those generous gifts. he had no intention of delivering those gifts, but the people let themselves get caught up in the hope of "what can i get out of this" rather than standing firm on whats best for OUR people as a whole.
  • Because I vote based on apperance
  • cause hes black
  • I didnt elect Obama. if turds actually followed politics without taking sides and did everything for the betterment of the country as a whole then they would understand what i am talking about. the economy started down the shitter in 1996 when Clinton and Acorn got together and decided to pass laws that allowed a 1500% increase in risky and bad loans and mortages to be passed out to people who couldnt afford it...OMG! A Democrat fucked the economy. people are bitching about healthcare and healthcare reform...Guess what! Clinton in 1996 / 1997 cut 96 Billion out of medicare and medicade which...get this!...closed down 75% of all medical schools. now the democrats are bitching about not having enough doctors, nurses, and therapists and that there is a healthcare shortage and that we must have socialized medicine to fix this...Bullshit! and for the final blow, lets turn to the Iraq war! during Clintons 8 year presidiential term he fired an average of 3 missles at Afganastan and Iraq everyday! i think that would piss them off enough to fly a few planes into a few places here in America huh! so, take a look at it, Clinton fucked the economy, healthcare, and fucked us into the war we have with Iraq and Afganastan! Holy Shit! KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
  • What do you mean "You people"?
  • I was too young i was 16 during the election.
  • Umm, because we were in the majority of those who showed up at the polls on election day?
  • If I didn't vote for him or encourage his election, should I not answer this question? I will anyway... :) People voted for him because they believed he was something different than Bush, and him having darker skin color sure didn't hurt his campaign. People believed the propaganda and rhetoric of "change" in his campaign.
  • Well, before I clue you in on the great big deep dark secret of why "we people" elected President Obama, I'd like to know who I'm talking to. . Who are YOU people? . I hope you understand my asking. You could be Nigerian or Albanian or Tongan or God only knows what.
  • Just to drive you people nuts. Happy Friday! :)
  • cause he is half black and half white. when are we gonna see the white part?
  • Sorry, but you cannot blame me for that. I did not vote for him.
  • idk. but sometimes i just wonder if he won just for being African american. I try not to think that but it makes you wonder. + i cant wait for the first Hispanic Pres.
