  • You just have to find your own truth. My truth was that I found no way to make sense of the contradictions in the Bible and that the disagreements over which one was correct has led to too much warfare and bloodshed throughout history. That led me down the path of Agnosticism; the belief that it isn't possible for humans to understand the true nature of the Divine. However, that is *my* truth. It may not be yours.
  • I don't know. I always figured that God's word was to be absolute, so I don't understand why The Bible is so cryptic and apparently open to everyone and their sister's interpretations. I guess you just gotta take it for what it says in there, although I personally don't take it as truth, rather than a testament to human psychology. I mean that by studying The Bible you can tell a lot from people...about God, not so much ha ha. But see I'm doing it too. XD
  • you decide. read the new testament like it was written just for you and you alone. believe everything that is written about you. then read it again and mark areas that you find enlightening. Find a regular time to read each day. A time that is a committment. That no matter what, you keep that time separated from the rest of your every day life. You will find amazing strength from such a committment. And you will know like so many others what is The Truth. It takes desire. It is free for everyone. Jesus is real and He wants to be your Friend.

  • You don't, and neither does anyone else, anyone who says they know the truth is either lying, or deluded, and that's the truth. Which, granted, may mean I am deluded or lying, but at least I admit it!
  • get your bible, pray to the holy spirit to guide you and listen to him. ppl make mistakes after all.
  • The differences are, for the most part, minor. Issues like when to be baptized or some other things are really minor. We know that we have faith in Christ and that is our common bond!
  • Ask God To guide you, His spirit will lead you to the Truth. Read God's Word, this will also help.
  • You decide. Remember the old adage: "There is 117 ways to skin a mule and every single one of them is right." or more biblically: "In my fathers house there are many dwelling places"
  • You search for the truth rather than asking. Otherwise you will not know, you will only know what someone else said.

  • Good question. Pray for understanding before reading. If someone is telling you something, be sure and look up the scriptures to see if it is so. If your understanding of a scripture is different than another scripture, read the context and other scriptures to get understanding. • The Bible is a Jewish conspiracy. Christians are deluded under a powerful spell. Christianity is nothing more than a vicious program, with the goals of: Forcing the Gentiles to give up all occult knowledge and power so all psychic power is in the hands of select Jews for total control. Indoctrinating the the Gentile masses into pacifism and a slave-like mentality of servitude Encouraging the Gentiles into giving up all money and worldly goods which is funneled into the hands of the ruling Jews and their Gentile lackeys like Billy Graham Preparing the Gentile masses for a one world communist slave state with the ruling Jews in control. Channeling Gentile psychic energy and prayers into the "Second coming of Christ" which is in reality the Jewish Messiah as any working of the mind must have a connection. Cutting the Gentiles off from their own Tribal Gods and Demi-Gods, whose identities have been altered and replaced with fictitious Jewish characters. Our True Creator God has been denegrated, viciously and heinously insulted and blasphemed and relegated to the enemy of humanity. "May his name and memory be blotted out." -The Jewish Talmud The list is endless and it is so glaringly obvious what was done. Now, we all know the Nazarene is fictitious. The Jews themselves know it and don't believe in him as he is a lie based upon some 20+ crucified "saviors" stolen from Gentile pantheons around the world. I have put a lot of effort and time into researching the Bible, as so many people have serious hang-ups because of intense indoctrination with Christiainty and the psychic power that has gone into it. It is obvious the Bible is a hoax and a lie. "We shall now endeavor to answer the question which must naturally arise in the minds of all who see for the first time, the similarity in the legends of the Hebrews and those of other nations, namely: have the Hebrews copied from other nations, or, have other nations copied from the Hebrews? To answer this question we shall; first give a brief account or history of the Pentateuch and other books of the Old Testament from which we have taken legends, and show about what time they were written; and second, show that other nations were possessed of these legends long before that time, and that the Jews copied from them." - Bible Myths And Their Parallels in Other Religions By T. NOT Job and Jehova. Keret's family tragedies and illness are comparable with the story of Job. In the original tale, "Satan" never even entered into the picture. The conviction that every jew will one day share in his divine destiny as a member of the world's ruling race has made him proud and has enabled him to survive unassimilated among the nations of the earth." "Included in the promised inheritance was a deliverer or messiah to bring about "the kingdom." This messiah would be either a temporal, human leader who with his armies would overthrow the enemies of Israel, or a supernatrual being who would do likewise, establishing an "everlasting" Jewish kingdom as well." "The Jewish imperialism would thus come as the awaited deliverer destroyed the enemies and gave their booty to Israel. As Larson says 'This Messiah shall bring judgement upon the Gentiles and they shall become the slaves of Judah..." The above two paragraphs were excerpts taken from The Christ Conspiracy: The Greatest Story Ever Sold by Acharya S. © 1999 taken from pages 325 and 326 The purpose of the bible was: To give the Jewish people a history they never had To give the Jewish people a special status as the "Chosen of God" To enable the Jewish people to advance in their quest for world domination. The gentiles have been disarmed and spoon-fed a pacifistic anti-life philosophy with Christianity To keep all occult, psychic and mind power under the control of the Jews and disarm the gentile populations psychically. For the Jewish secret cabal to seize and direct as much psychic energy as possible into the coming of their "messiah" who will unite the Jews and rule the world. (This is the fictitious Christ, - the Jews themselves know Christ is fictitious- the "Temple of Solomon" and various other faces of the same theme). Because the multitude of characters, numbers and stories were stolen and altered from gentile sources, they are strong enough in the gentile racial memory to use as a powerful psychic tool for manipulation. • Apparently the only sure way, is by dying. Because only THEN do you find out the Truth, if there be any. Which limits your ability to be able to make changes to your life.
  • You could try comparing several translations and manuscripts. http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/39934
  • Like others have said, read your Bible and pray to the good Lord and that's all you need, forget everyone else.
  • You should study it and decide what you think it means.
  • You do what you always do in these situations...you study the problem and then you make your best guess and go with it. That's all you can do really - you pray for the best and hope your not wrong. Take care my friend.
  • The Bible is God's book. And it contains an invitation you may take advantage of to know what is truth: James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. . So study the matter, examine the evidence, go as far as you can with reason. Then ask God to take you the rest of the way to understand the truth. Trust his promise.
  • 89-20-2017 It is not reliable to let people tell you what the bible says. Many people will make up stuff because they don't know what it says, and many will make up stuff because they wish it would not say what it says. You just have to read it for yourself. Read a chapter of Proverbs every day. Proverbs has 31 chapters so you can keep your place by just looking at a calendar. There is no religion or nothing in Proverbs and you don't have to believe anything. Just read to find wisdom. When you are comfortable with that, then read the bible from Romans to 2 Thessalonians over and over until you start to remember what it says. That is the part that applies to Christians. Here is a book to help you to understand the bible. It's a free download and you can get a hard copy at any bible book store. http://www.philologos.org/__eb-htetb/ "How To Enjoy The Bible"
  • good question.....I am a man who DETESTS ORGANIZED RELIGION..raised catholic but of course couldnt WAIT to get out of 'it'..... to me, religion is man-made.......all those sects, only one God, etc., etc., ... however, there is one organization that is TRULY based on the bible and nothing else.........go to TOMORROWSWORLD.ORG......(OR COULD BE .COM NOT SURE, try both!!!) there you will get, at no cost, a monthly magazine and tons of booklets explaining WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS AND NOT man's 'interpretation'. again, I detest organized religion but this organization has a way of explaining the bible that you will enjoy...never a charge, they never ask for money, but of course you give what you want & when you want. just one tiny example nowhere in the bible does it say that Jesus died on a Friday, and resurrected on Sunday.......bible says' three days and three nights' in the tomb....... so where the HELL did the whole 'good Friday' thing come from? HUH? mankind.......that's who... oh well I better stop!!! so anyway, instead of wondering what the bible says, how to interpret it, etc., etc., etc., just go to this organizations' site and learn about the real bible.... OH and it was man who made Sunday 'the lord's day'........that sure as hell isn't in the bible!!!!!!!!! JEEEEEZE!!!!!!!!!!
  • maybe you should ask god to show you whats true

  • Read the Bible in context by looking at every verse or passage in relation to the verses, chapters and broader narratives that surround it.
  • Read it yourself, ask for the holy spirit. Refer to the Greek and Hebrew. There are books that also explain Jewish customs, and those of the Roman Empire that will make their behaviour easier to understand. But the bible is a spiritual message of salvation of the soul, and you will only see the mystery if you read it in that manner.
  • Read it and pray for understanding from The Spirit. Start with James 1:5-6.
  • read the bible yaself
  • Read it for yourself, it must be read with the spirit. Question everything, search for truth, no point following something blindly if it doesn't change you, and give you something nothing else has.
  • You don't, but neither do the experts either. Its a game.😏 BTW, if you are interested you can buy a copy of the Bible in Kindle for about 10 bucks, download it, and then download the Kindle app. You can then adjust the font size and spacing, If you read the NIV (New International Version) you won't have a lot of crazy jargon to deal with. And you can makes notes to return to later.
  • The Bible is a mix of complexities. Some of it isn't meant for everyone to know, while some of it is. Just read it and get what understanding you can from it. There's enough knowledge in just that much to give you guidance.
  • Believe what ever you want to, just don't push some bull shit on me!
  • Well, first I would like to agree with a lot of the responders here, read the Bible yourself, then compare what you read with what other are saying. Does it match? The truth will always agree with itself, so if a scripture says that the Earth will last forever with righteous people on it, like in Psalms 37:29, why would some say the earth will be destroyed? In Isaiah 45:18 says in part that God did not create the earth simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited..... then there is the question of Jesus ; is he God or God's Son? Can he be both? What does the scriptures say? John 10: 36 Jesus said "I am God's Son" What about God? Is he a nameless entity? the Bible says at Psalms 83:18 KJV "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth" For more information on this and other Bible topics, you can go to JW.org.
  • Approaching an understanding of the Bible is an undertaking worthy of every believer’s best research and thinking. Deciding if one is convinced the Bible is given by inspiration of God is an essential starting point. The belief that there can be only one right interpretation of the scripture is also crucial. God, in His infinite goodness and wisdom, has placed checks and balances in the scriptures to preserve the accurate understanding of His Word. A simple example appears in Luke 6:13, where it says that "he [Jesus] chose twelve". A basic check is to confirm (by counting) that twelve names are listed in verses 14 through 16. This type of check, which may be described in our terminology as "attention to the obvious," when adhered to by a genuine searcher, will result in answers of undeniable truth being discovered, or the scriptures being "left on the shelf" until undeniable answers can be found. Examples of other checks to be performed include: to confirm the scripture fits with the immediate and remote context; to confirm the meaning of the words used; to confirm harmony with other scriptures relating to the subject; and more (researchprinciples.22web.org). To genuinely adhere to the checks and balances in God's Word with the desire to attain God's approval is the aspiration of a lifetime. II Timothy 2:15 "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."
  • Whenever there is disagreement in a passage of scripture one can be correct and the other incorrect; or both can be incorrect, but both cannot be correct. It takes time and research to come to the correct answer.
  • Why, what makes you special to know the truth? Religion is as much about personal interpretation as it is about discovery and interpretation. If you're wrong, then you're going to hell for it, not the next next guy. Mainly as it was your life and understanding to get you there.
