They're so damned independent. They decide when to be lovey dovey and when to be standoffish. There's no rhyme or reason to it.

Getting them to come when you call them.

When the stupid little wingnut won't leave you alone in the middle of the night because he wants kitty treats. His food dish and water are full but he wants those stupid nibble treats and he won't stop licking your face and purring in your ear until he gets some. No matter how long you ignore him he just persists until you give him what he wants.

I really don't think there is anything hard about raising a cat. Once they are potty trained and they quit scatching the furniture they are okay.

It would be to decide weather to spay or neuter them, for it is not natural to do so.They have reproductive organs for a purpose.

I dearly love cats, but some humans think all animals should be obsequious little servile beasts like dogs are. Before taking on your first cat, you have to get rid of that notion, because the cat isn't about to buy into such an idea. Cats keep mice and rats out of your house and will even crunch a scorpion for you if one gets into their sight. In exchange they expect full run of the place and the respect due an equal partner. They aren't a pack animal that will bow to your superior size and recognize you as boss.

Patience. We're rehabilitating a cat that was traumatized. We haven't a clue what did it, but the cat is slowly coming around. They go at their own pace and listen to their own counsel. Dogs come when you call. Cats take a message and get back to you.

i cant think of any..cats are wonderful

Well, i can only think of when you have 1 cat and get a new one. Its kinda hard to show the new cat shes safe in your home, but show the older cat you still love it just as much. Thankfully, my cats now get along. But for the first two weeks my old cat wouldnt come near anyone, and would hide under the bed...It was a difficult situation =/

The hardest part is knowing that someday your little friend's life will come to an end, and you will have to bid him/her goodbye. :(
