The police uphold the law by the book. Lawyers defend because they are being paid to say they believe you are innocent or guilty. Even when they know better. My guess is Shakespears... "And the first thing we should do is kill all the lawyers."

I would say police. I don't have anything against police, but I don't think lawyers are really crooked. If it is their job to defend a criminal, doing their job doens't make them "crooked." However, I would say politicians take the cake.

awww geeez this is a tough one, I will have to say the police only because 15 Queensland cops are currently in our Australian news as being corrupt.
