  • If you were seen by the police it would be considered by most as carrying a concealed or dangerous weapon I would think. No need for a real weapon if you have a costume on. Make one out of cardboard and aluminum foil.
  • No I doubt it. My step-son brought home a couple of knives and swords from Mexico and no one said boo about it.
  • I'm not sure about a license, but it's still a weapon. In other words, don't bring it out if you ever want to see it again and if you don't want to get arrested.
  • This is a tough question because it depends on: 1. where you live 2. where you will be wearing the sword Most schools have adopted "zero tolerance" policies on "weapons," even the small knives Sikh kids have to carry for religious reasons. It's really frustrating. Anyway, you would need to check the rules in advance before bringing it into a school. Other places may have similar rules -- like maybe you can't take it on public transportation. Otherwise, you'd need to check three sets of laws: your state law, your county law, and your town/city laws. It's a real pain in the neck. Why don't you find someone from the SCA who lives in your area? They probably already have done this research.
