  • The evidence I was given was not good enough. Why did an omnipotent God reveal himself in such an obscure and confusing way. (That, of course, is assuming one of the Christian variants of God).
  • I'd just turn round & say 'I dont need to justify myself to you'
  • If there was god, then god would already know why.
  • There was no reason to. +5
  • "If you were real, you'd be too good to be true"
  • Why didn't you make me?
  • Remind him that whether or not I believed in him I lived a (mostly) righteous life.
  • Why in the hell didn't you keep your word big guy!? http://whywontgodhealamputees.com/god5.htm
  • Which god?
  • The only "evidence" ever provided was insubstantial, contradictory, and inaccurate.
  • I would say "I saw no reason to.....and if you are god why are you asking me such stupid questions? Surly you must have known the answer even before you created me?" That's unless I just shit myself.
  • Don't ever ask me to play hide-and-go-seek. You made the whole universe look like you don't even exist.
  • I've read the answers that those who do not love God wrote - or they feel like they can justify themselves with accusations on Judgment Day....and I was going to quote scriptures that tell of hell and torment for unbelievers but that is useless...you don't have fear because you don't have faith, so it's really not something you can comprehend. But God really does love you just as you are. Whatever your past, whatever sins you are caught up in now or in the future, with your unbelief and even your mockery, He loves you. Until the very moment you die, you have a chance to turn to God and the second you do, He'll accept you, open arms. He's your God too. Anytime in the future that you feel sorrow for your disbelief or want to seek out the truth about Christ, do not feel it is 'too late' for it is never too late until you die. THen it will be too late, but if at any time you feel you might be wrong, then seek God and you WILL find Him and He WILL accept you, love you, forgive you! John 3:16 (NIV) 16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Romans 5:8 (NIV) 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 1 John 1:9 (NIV) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. about heaven: “no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9)
  • If there really is a god, which I don't think there is, He knows perfectly well why He didn't give my any 'faith' and I will be rewarded anyway, for my good works.
  • I'd tell him there was no proof, and the worlds religions are obvious bullsh!t, so there was never a reason to believe.
  • I wouldn't because it isn't going to happen, but on the off chance that it did i would say, "Look, you or someone real unbalanced put the total buffoons in charge of representing you. You or they put the thieves and liars in charge and none of them left me any reason whatsoever to believe anything they told me.. If I left them in charge for you to answer to how would you respond?" I think I would then win my case because god could never deny I was correct and well within my rights. If this is indeed a god of justice and compassion then none of us would be liable for the bullshit these people have tried to feed us all these years. We're all innocent then.
  • The same thing I'd tell the Easter Bunny, Sponge Bob, and Darth Vader when I appear before them.
  • I would remind god that HE endowed me with my skeptical nature.
  • I would tell him that I considered honor and truth more valuable than prayers and self-debasement. And that I would much rather seek that goal on my own, than I would accept the word of those representing him, such as televangelists and the likes of Haggerd or Phelps. regards JakobA
  • I'd say belief is irrelevant - actions count, and I have attempted to live a moral life by my own standards, to be good and help people. If that isn't good enough for you because you are so hung up on 'having faith' then fuck it I'll go somewhere else instead :-)
  • I would tell him "You're god, you tell me why I didn't believe"
