  • If you are trying to match things together, even numbers will always give you a match, while odd numbers will always have something left over or unmatched.
  • Knowing which numbers are odd and which are even feeds into basic mathematics foundations. Knowing that even numbers are those divisible by two could conceivably help resolve certain logistical problems. such as setting up round robin tournaments, arranging a banquet, making sure twins are treated equally.
