I'm not sure. All I know is that we can't dwell on it, or we'll never enjoy our lives. It's outside of our control anyway.

Of course there will be an end. In a few billion years the sun will run out of Hydrogen to convert to helium. It will then convert the helium into carbon and then finally the carbon into iron. Somewhere in between all of this convrting it will expand and engulf the first for planets. As for the end of all life in the universe that will occur in a few trillion years because, space expands. This expansion of space will eventually create too great of a distance between stars and planets and the planets will freeze and become in hospital thus killing all intelligent life. Although Apophis the giant meteorite recently been spotted and is expected to come within a few thousand miles of earth. This meteor is about the size of the one that likely killed the dinosaurs so this too could destroy the world or at least most life. And many many more ways could end it but I think this is enough for now.

In about 5 billion years when our sun goes Supernova
