  • This happens all the time, yes it is allowed,so please get used to it.*+5*
  • you can unsubscribe from the comments if it's a problem.
  • I'm afraid I've done it plenty of times. If it happens to me, I'd still take it as a compliment that I got the conversation rolling!
  • People jump in all the time. If the conversation isn't pleasant you can unsubscribe but most of the time it's just added opinion or info. Many times it will be a friend that sees that you or the person that answered is there and is connecting that way.
  • You are allowed to comment on anything you choose.
  • I don't know? I never read the rules.
  • i have been an uninvited guest many times, no one has kicked me out yet :P
  • This is a public forum and I think we are allowed to answer any question or comment on any thread we want to. I didn't see anything in the terms of use that says we can't.
  • The above folks are correct - and actually, it IS true that you can wind up getting MORE points/attention when a conversation thread develops from your question and/or your answer to someone else's question. It's interesting when this occurs - two other people may respond to each other but not to you directly - although normally, the first answer will be to your question. This happened to me when I responded just earlier that as far as a news item that I was tired of hearing about in the media, the "Chris Brown-Rihanna physical abuse saga" was one. A little thread sprung out of it that had to do with the mention of an outfit that an AB'er had seen Rihanna wearing - someone then responded to that AB'er regarding their comment about the outfit! I enjoyed reading the dialogue and was glad it opened up like that! AB is fun and interesting, never boring; so good luck and enjoy!!
  • It's not against the rules, and it happens a lot. My own feeling is that I just try to be aware if it's disturbing, particularly to the person who posted the answer. That doesn't mean I'll quit, just that I'll consider whether I should! :) Sometimes it really is obnoxious, esp. when, for example, there's a serious conversation going on with someone who has a problem in their life, and a couple of people start arguing about gay marriage or whatever. In all situations in life, it's wise to be aware of the intricacies of what's going on and try to refine your actions to fit.
  • It's the only way we can "Chat" and get to know each other here so it's rather encouraged. I mean they could have an Instant Messenger or something, but that would take away from the threads so instead they encourage us to chat on the threads. We try to keep it more or less on topic but if the threads get too long they somehow scroll up and you only see the last few comments.
  • It is happening right now on a couple of threads about rape and child molesters. I am not involved in the question or the answers but it is fun to watch as they tear strips off each other, so to speak.
  • You can chat away. If you do get tired of the comment thread and get sick of being notified every time someone comments on that thread you can hit "unsubscribe from comments" thing. If you want to go back to it later you can leave a comment and you are back in again.
  • You can all feel free to use this thread for your convo's, lol.
