When I was in college, the infirmary had pretty good carrot cake. :-)
-

-
Yes I can honestly say that I have.
-
Yes Today a nurse made me a sandwhich I havent eaten for days so it tasted real good
-
Yes...after I had my son I chowed down, but that may be because I wasn't aloowed to eat for like 2 days since i was in labor.
-
Yes! But only when I was on a liquids only diet, once I moved to solids, the soup, popsicples and jello train ended and suddenly food was to be dreaded.
-
Yes I have. I have been a patient 2-3 different hospitals and the food was good. I was actually surprised myself.
-
Yes, believe it or not. The hospital cafeteria in my hometown was generally a good, cheap hot meal if you were all but broke.
-
Yup. When you've not eaten for the best part of a week, any food is good food! =) If all else fails, the visitors/doctors cafe usually does pretty good food too!
-
good stuff
-
Yes, I had spinal surgery three times (if someone wants the details for whatever reason, comment so) and everytime their meals were pretty decent, like diner quality.
-
I've been in hospitals a lot and not as a visitor. :( Breakfast and lunch are generally okay. (They're pretty hard to screw up.) Warm meals were always a tasteless overcooked disaster.
-
Yes. The ice cream and jelly were always good. I think I was about 6 at the time
-
hehe i don't know if this counts but i had ice cream and it was yummi lolz have a wonderful day :)
-
Well it isn't the best that is for sure. Everything comes from a box, I think. But the Jello, Toast, pudding and mashed spuds are ok. +5
-
i spent 7 weeks in hosptail once it was a case of getting use to it not too bad at all.
-
You know this hospital that we have here has some pretty good food for a hospital. :+)
-
I am a regular of the hospital and the food isn't that bad. Our hospital has a menu you can order whatever you want, whenever you want. Of course I am limited as I am on a liquid diet, but to have the choice of jello favors, priceless!
-
yep, almost everytime I have been in the hospital. but I have eaten bulk made food since I was 13, in the military, school and university food and just abut any other situation...I guess I am just immune to the taste now.
-
the apple sauce is pretty awesome...and the jello cups
-
Nope
-
i have only had this happen just once and it was kind of hard to mess up. the meal was fresh fruit and i mean the good stuff mixed strawberries, melon balls, grapes, kiwi, and orange slices. i also had a garden salad chefs with grilled chicken.
-
When I was a kid I was in hospital a lot. And I loved the food! As an adult I think it isn't as good, but I also think they make the food differently in an all kids hospital (where I was). I guess it depends on budget and planning on their part
-
Yes, I enjoyed the fish.
-
I have heard some people say they've had good food in the hospital, but I have never enjoyed that experience.
-
Last time i was in the hospital, i tried to get family/friends to smuggle in a sub orsomething. nothing. A co-worker brought me in a full salt shaker. She was a life saver:) Hospital food is way too bland!
-
I've worked in a coupla' of 'em in my time and once there was this excellent Thai cook! ;-)
-
Only the desserts. I like custards and jellies.
-
yes... maybe it was because i was so hungry
-
I spent alot of time in hospital as a child (my sister had polio). The nurses would bring me a tray to eat with my sister. The food was really good. We both really liked the roast chicken and the angel food cake with fruit compote was great. Last week when I was in hospital the food was so bad I think I lost about 5 pounds.
-
G'day Chief Wanbli, Thanks for your question. I have enjoyed hospital food in my last couple of visits. Firstly, because I didn't cook it and secondly because I could order desert. Regards
-
I've always enjoyed hospital jello. Honestly!
-
When I was sick and my taste buds were out to lunch (pun intended).
-
the only time I have been in the hospital was to have my kids..and after 15 hours of not eating anything taste goood:):):)
-
The only hospital food I have ever eaten was when my brother was 4 and sick in hospital and my mum made my sister and I eat so that they woud let him come home, I think I enoyed it! Good to see you:0)
-
Yes. How are you Chief? I hope you are doing well!
-
The ice cream and the pudding, yumm :)
-
Only the JELLO....+4 (the rest of it was CRAP... unsalted bland food I would not feed my pups. ) Hope you are feeling better Sir, nice seeing you.
-
I've never really had a problem with institutional foods. If I'm hungry, I eat. It has to be really bad for me to even notice. Explains a lot when I step on a scale...
-
Yes, actually. I had surgery on my leg 2 years ago. Ellis Hospital in Synecdoche actually has pretty good food. You can order practically anything you want 24 hours a day.
-
NO.
-
Yes, but only once and it was served in the cafeteria, not in a patient room. I have never seen a remotely edible patient tray.
