Has anyone else's plans for going to the beach been delayed due to rain?

I planned on taking my sons to the beach last Friday since i was off. It hasnt rained since like, October!! So of course it starts pouring. I even watched the weather channel WHILE the downpour was occuring and it even said 0% chance of rain. lol

Nope, I haven't been to the beach in almost a decade. Is there still sand there?
