no. but i have been in a pool with just fresh water, no chlorine. there were water plants and fish swimming around in the deep end.

Yes, when I was in a pool on a cruise ship they used salt water in their pools.

I have swum in a pool that uses bromine instead of chlorine. It does not have that chlorine bleach smell and is easier on the eyes. I know of a private club with a saltwater pool, but I have never been there.

10-5-2017 No, never. BTW, that "chlorine bleach smell" is chloramine, produced by the combination of chlorine and urine. That is the chemical that makes your eyes sting. The average public pool is said to contain about twenty gallons of urine. Another BTW: Aspartame is such a huge part of modern life that they test for that to estimate the amount of urine in a pool.
