  • I don't know about the benefits of business post-grad degrees themselves - but I would say that if you put aside the question of whether employers would be attracted by them or not, you are furthering yourself, your academic knowledge, your transferable skill set and demonstrating yet more dedication by taking it that one step further. In today's job market also, it may give you that extra edge too espeically if it is combined with some kind of internship or business workining experience.
  • Education, especially higher education is never meaningless.I'm an engineer and I see my progress in the corporate world steady but,my friends who opt for MBA,they are climbing the corporate ladder faste
  • It is definitely worth having on your resume, especially in the business world. I know. One of my friends has an MBA and she says it looks good on hers. This is especially helpful in upper management positions. She was managing an office for a company working with several CEOs in Houston.
  • I don't think that it's meaningless, but it also matters what you do with it. My son worked hard and got a MBA. He then worked hard at improving his jobs. He's improving himself and working his way up. I know other people that worked, hard too, but they haven't applied themselves to get better jobs. In fact, they're still doing the same thing they did. DO NOT GET ME WRONG! These are very good people. They like the fact that they could earn a MBA. My point is, if your object is to climb the corporate ladder, you'll have to take the steps up the ladder. Positions don't come looking for you.
  • I have an MBA and the truth of the matter is that it has never been a requirement of the jobs that I have applied for and got. Having said that, it may have helped me get the job that otherwise wouldn't have got.
  • FEWER than 10% of all people hold a Master's Degree of any kind. This figure is not broken down by degree: http://www.highereducation.org/reports/pa_decline/pa_decline.pdf QUESTION: Do you want to be part of the 10% at the top, or the 90% at the bottom? FACT: An MBA on your resume gets your resume onto the "interview" pile. It does not get you in the door. Having the MBA is like having a seal of approval: many others without may have acquired the knowledge, but they have to prove themselves every day while you do not. The degree makes your life much, much easier. DISCLAIMER: I have an MBA In Real Life.
  • In our university, MBA is more valued by students than studying a computer course.
