  • Give them portable video games to play, movies to watch, or comic books to read.
  • Tell them if they don't shut up you all are going to get thrown off.
  • When ever I take my baby girl on plane, I try to get her as tired as possible before the trip. Then on the plane she usually passes out. Food, books, mini dvd or lap top with a movie going for them also helps.
  • PSP or a ds.
  • Better question:How do you keep an ADULT quiet on an airplane? How annoying is that? Kids just need to be stimulated,is all.Books, toys, occasional snacks, that sorta thing.*+++++*Great Question Too!;)*
  • Duct tape works, but seems to be frowned upon. My guess is try to keep their mind occupied. Children are always going to be rambunctious out of their "comfort zone". So, try to bring things that are comforting for them.
  • Promethazine?
  • Wear them down before the flight so they sleep. If they wake up, have something for them to do and eat so they don't get cranky.
  • I would try to lobby and have a law passed, mandating every child below the age of 10 be put under sedation prior to boarding any flight. I HATE CHILDREN especially on planes, and with asshole parents who dont believe in discipline. So thats my solution. dope em up with sleeping pills or other sedatives.
  • How old are the children? Older ones can play video games or listen to their I pod. Younger ones like to do puzzles. Infants are harder they tend to scream when their ears get plugged. I always made sure we nursed or gave them a bottle during take offs and landings. The swallowing helped clear their ears.
  • Benadryl. Yes it sounds mean, but if a child doesn't want to be quiet you can give them all the games and puzzles in the world. They aren't going to be quiet. Plus you will have a stress free flight, and can relax yourself.
  • It depends on how old they are... I would give them a laptop, coloring books, or portable video games, so they could entertain themselves while they could be quiet while on the airplane trip =)
  • i've seen many good ones, but many bad ones too....good ones were the 'Parents faults' as well as the bad ones..... the only one that was understandably bad behavior was an 8 or 9 yr. old mentally handicapped... ear plugs are only defense....:)
  • Simply tell them to play the quiet game. Make it sound fun too. Even my little sister will ask me "lets play the quiet game!" Its even funnier when my parents are there.
