I think this is a great question! +5 The first movie I thought of was " Running Scared," starring Paul Walker. I believe that is the name of the movie. Very violent. Plot-wise is the question. If one buys the premise, and 'suspends that disbelief,'( which I did ) the plot works well. :)

Jindabyne. I say this because this lady gets murdered and the guy is a serial killer and when he's dumping her body he flicks a cigarette at her. I just thought it was really scary for me and then there was another scene where there's some kind of domestic dispute and it freaked me out because it reminded me of something I saw when I was a kid.

Independence Day. they didn't show all the bloodshed and destruction cause it couldn't fit on screen, but they alluded to it.

I liked a cult classic "I Spit on Your Grave" ... it gets off kind of SLOW ... BUT; when it gets going ; there is plenty of action , blood and gore ... WARNING: Not for YOUNG children as there is repeted rape scenes in this movie ...

Casino. The scene where they beat the guy nearly to death and throw him in the grave still breathing and cover him with some dirt while his brother begs them to get him help. Creeps me all the way out.

Taken, it's totally believable that a father would do anything, including kill, to save his daughter from white slavers. and white slavery is a real issue happening in the world as we play on our computers without a care in the world
