Many people would run away/disappear or the murder rate would be incredibly high.

Less hasty and senseless marriages. Stronger families, less emotionally traumatized children. Less money to be made in family counseling offices. Less kids on the streets, being raised by the streets. Will it eliminate all probs? Nope, but it would help more than hinder.

A lot less people will marry and many more of those who are stuck in abusive relationships will end in violence.
