  • Definitely. According to most psychological lists of stressers, moving always seems to make their top ten lists.
  • when you have moved as much as I have....nope...just another walk in the park.
  • Most everything in life causes stress of some sort. Both positive and negative events can cause stress.
  • Depends on what you have going on, if it gets in the way of your normal life, it's more of a pain in the arse than stressful. It for sure causes some sore muscles that you rarelu use on a daily basis though!!
  • Definitely. In 1960, my family was moving from a rented house into a brand-new house we had purchased, in the same community. For some reason that doctors could never adequately explain (and still can't, to this day), I developed a horrible stomach pain, which lasted only during the actual boxing up and moving process. It is my belief now, that it was caused by extreme stress of some kind, and not any physical ailment. I don't know why that happened, because I was really excited and happy about moving into a brand-new house. When our family moved from Burlington, Iowa to Davenport, Iowa (80 miles distant) in 1956, I had no problems of any kind, whatsoever. But, I was only 6 when that move occurred, and 10, when the latter move happened.
