Almost always, but it's an accident because I never seem to make sure I have all of the exact ingredients before I start dinner. I end up using "a little of this or that" instead and viola..a new creation is born.

Except for baking, where certain proportions are important, I hardly ever use a recipe. I read cookbooks for ideas, but rarely cook to a recipe.

For me a Recipe is a Guide and usually is never really followed but starts the idea of what I want to create.

Usually the first time I make something I will follow the recipe exactly...after that I will adjust things.

Of course! :) Just make sure you know what your adding and how much. You wouldn't want to ruin the recipe, and it is very simple to do that!
