  • No, not necessarily. Often the difference between really good stuff and good stuff is too subtle for my plebeian palate. Also often the additional cost is just paying for hype. That being said for the things you do have a refined palate for more expensive can be worth it. For me ultra premium tequila is worth the difference but I can't tell the difference between premium and ultra premium Champagne.
