The elephant is the queen of gestation. African elephants carry their young for 22 months (645 days). Sperm whales manage a very respectable 480-500 days. Black rhinos go for 450 days. Giraffes range from 420 to 450 days. Camels about 410 days. It makes we human's 270 day gestation look like quite a rush job.
